Harelaw Farm has been a cherished part of our family’s story for generations. My grandfather began farming this land in the 1940s and officially purchased Harelaw Farm in 1985. He dedicated his life to raising cattle and sheep while pursuing his passions for breeding and training young horses, as well as hunting.

From the age of two, I was immersed in his world, learning from him and inheriting his deep love and knowledge of all things equestrian. In 1993, he welcomed the first liveries to the farm, gradually expanding over the years.

When my grandfather passed away in 2018 at the age of 82, my husband Daniel, our two children, and I took on the responsibility of continuing his legacy. Since then, we’ve been revitalizing the farm with new energy and purpose.

Today, we care for a small flock of sheep and goats, a collection of hens and a turkey, and a few Kune Kune pigs. Each year, we plan to add something new to the farm, keeping the spirit of growth alive.

My true passion lies with the horses. We currently have two broodmares in foal for 2025, and our colt, HFL Gibson’s Legacy, will serve as the foundation of our stud in 2026. This marks the continuation of my grandfather’s dream to breed top-class competition horses.

I also take immense joy in the process of breaking in young horses, guiding them as they learn, grow, and progress. My background in veterinary nursing has given me a special interest in wound management and rehabilitation, which I bring to my work with the horses.
